Things to do with the family in Las Vegas

Las Vegas – the city of dreams and aspirations, though perhaps it is not the first choice for a family holiday. Las Vegas would not be the place that it is without its casinos. After all the city developed around them and they are the main part of its economy, though there is far more to the place than Caesars Palace, the Venetian, Bellagio and the rest of them. Las Vegas may be mainly a playground for adults, but it is also a great place to take the children too.

Bellagio

The reason for this is its location. There are plenty of things to keep the kids happy within the city boundaries. If you want to provide some real excitement and education for your children then the best way to do so is to hire a comfortable car and set off into the desert to explore such exciting destinations as Death Valley, the Grand Canyon, Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. They are all easily accessible and more than worthy of the effort.

the Grand Canyon

Death Valley within the Mojave Desert will stir any young (or old) imagination. Furnace creek is the hottest place on the planet, and Badwater Basin one of the lowest, far below sea level and the Death Valley Badlands are truly inspirational. Grand Canyon is equally inspirational, a vast scar in the landscape that is one of the most important natural wonders of the world, while Lake Mead provides an ideal place for boating, swimming, fishing and other water sports.

Then in the evening when mum and dad feel like heading for The Strip, if you have chosen one of the many hotels with childminding services there is no problem; the kids will be cared for and entertained. No need to rely on playing at an online casino when Bellagio is just around the corner.
